Ritu Binaysinha

Born in 1976, Banswara, Rajasthan, Ritu completed her Masters in Painting (Fresco) from Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan. She moved to Delhi in 2002 and continuously worked on experimenting with different materials. Her prominent solo and two-person shows are: ‘Frame of Mind’, All India Art and Craft Society, New Delhi and ‘Contemporary Colours’, Kamalnayan Bajaj Gallery, Mumbai. Her recent group exhibitions are: The Luxembourg Art Prize finalist exhibition at Pinacotheque of Luxembourg (2018); Group Exhibition 2018, Gallery Korea, Korean Culture Center of New York, New York (2018); Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata (2018); Lokmanya Tilak Art Exhibition, Pune (2018); Confluence’ 18, International Art Contest, Galerie Art Eterne, New Delhi (2018). She was selected as one of the finalist of The Luxembourg Art Prize in 2018. In the same year she was awarded Lt Shri Jayantrao Tilak Award, Pune and got selected for exhibition at Gallery Korea, Korean Culture Center of New York.

Through her paintings, Ritu Binaysinha talks about her personal stories and contemporary human situations affected by the decisions of political greed, both positive and negative especially on children and woman. She treats them as something to overcome and to communicate with other people.
