artist statement

This is a selection from a body of work which was developed during my stay at Santiniketan (West Bengal). Through these works, I had attempted to explore my experiences of day-to-day life that amazed me; and I felt the urgent need to capture those fleeting moments. In other words, this was an attempt to understand and discover my immediate environment and the essence of life.

I tried to explore and depict few observations and situations like physical gestures of human, shapes and shadows, behaviour of animals and birds, natural phenomena etc.
