"Maps of Disappearance” This series of 16 Limited Edition Screen-Prints is my way ofthinking about home—not just as a place of comfort, but as something that constantlyshifts in meaning, especially in times marked by fragility and impermanence. The imagesare built from layers: photographs taken during my travels, fragments of my native homein Bihar, and architectural forms that feel both familiar and distant. By merging them, I tryto create a sense of ambiguity—where the identity of the original place is altered, andsomething more abstract, more open, begins to emerge.These works speak to the duality I often feel—a tension between comfort and disquiet,belonging and transience. They aren’t direct depictions but rather reimagining of spaceand memory. The abstraction is intentional, leaving room for reflection rather thanresolution.The short texts embedded in each print act like quiet thoughts—clues rather thanstatements. I don’t want to impose meaning but invite viewers to wander through thework, to find their own echoes.Despite the sense of disorientation these spaces might evoke, there’s a quiet balance inthem too—a recognition that even in the oddities of our current world, we still find ways tolive, to feel, and to remember.
