“The body of work Triumph of Labour Part II comprising of installations, serigraphs and digital photographs, was made over a period of four years, primarily to problematize the exclusion of women from public memory and to recognize and articulate the nature of their work and the significance of their double shift working day. Fragmented by the multiple roles they play, their triumphs could be seen as an agglomeration of several little triumphs during the course of their lives. This plural self and the dilemmas that it engenders form the core of my explorations.”
