Abhishek Narayan Verma

Abhishek Narayan Verma [b.1990, Bihar] graduated in painting from the College of Art, New Delhi in 2012 and pursued his post-graduation in print-making from the Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University, Baroda in 2015. He was a gold medallist at the University and had also received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in 2014. Amongst his most recent felicitations are the Manorama Young Printmaker award runner up, New Delhi [2020]; the Jean-Claude Reynal Travel Scholarship, France [2019]; and Award in Graphics, Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata [2018]. His first solo show Diary of an Idler was held at Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University of Baroda [2016] and at Priyasri Art Gallery [2018]. His significant group shows include, Telling Tales: A Journey into Narrative Forms, Bikaner House, New Delhi and Soliloquies presented by Anant Art (2020); When is Empathy too much? at Latitude 28, New Delhi (2020), Lithography online Exhibition, Megalo Print Studio, Australia (2020); The Print: Matter in Matrix by Latitude 28, New Delhi (2020), India Art Fair, Anant Art, New Delhi (2018, 2020); When the Caged Bird Sings, by Anant Art and Apparao Galleries at The Lodhi, New Delhi (2018); and Shifting Realities by Anant Art, Shridharani Art Gallery, New Delhi [2017]. He has also been a part of ‘Sarga Samvad’, artist-in-residence, Agastya International Foundation, Kuppam, India [2018] and National Exhibition of art Conclave organised by Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi in Bangalore and Lucknow (2017, 2016).

 

The artist lives and works in Vadodra, Gujarat.
