  • One of the many artistic forms used in Islamic art is the Medallion. The medallion, basically of circular or oval design, is found in many parts of the Islamic world. It is awarded as a recognition, and typically have a commemorative purpose. It has become a trend for people from various backgrounds to don their own medallions to invoke protection, guidance, luck or a reminder of where they’re going or what they’ve overcome. For this garment a medallion is designed extracting motifs from official affidavit stamp. An affidavit is an oath to prove truthfulness of an individual.

  • Gambeson known as an ancient coat for defence is a padded jacket worn as an armor. The construction of this coat is entirely done by leftover pieces from the previous works which were meticulously hand printed and hand cut, later hand stitched to this garment. The leftover pieces join together to make an organic design without following any trace line.
